Findings from the Expat Insider 2019 Business Edition, indicate that there is a real disconnect between the relocation support that foreign assignees, international hires, and relocating spouses receive and that they actually want. The report, which is centered around foreign assignees, international hires, and relocating spouses, is based on the Expat Insider survey, one of the world's most comprehensive surveys on life abroad.
The findings show a clear trend that these three expat types more commonly desire personal relocation support in the form of access to professional networking and access to social networking. This, however, is not reflected in the relocation services they more commonly received, which are more practical, such as the move organized by the employer or a service provider, as well as local settling-in services.
